Dear visitors of this page(s), let me finally introduce "officially" my very special Tripod "flush" SCREW, the one that some (few) buyers of my cases already knows... Sincerily, I am quite proud of this my idea ! Unlike Leica cases screws, and, as far as I know, unlike ALL cases screws, this special "Luigi's" screw still leaves the case bottom perfectly flat, without the uncomfortable protrusion on the bottom, that prevents the case (and the camera) to rest firmly even on the most flat surfaces ! His design permit to easily operate it with any thin coins, and in the lower part there is the useful TRIPOD hole, with the smaller thread, the one actually used by ALL makers.

Along with the special SS Tripod screw, in this picture you may see the HAND STITCHING !
(...a nearly lost art...)

It is quite costly, Eur 50 each (fitted), because: 1. every screw is hand made with a lathe - 2. the screw is all made in solid stainless steel, of which I am a fanatic user, being me a "boat's man"... - 3. to fit well it is a not easy job, it takes a lot of time and care, and there is always the risk to ruine a NEW case !

Of course, the SS screw position in the cases for M8 is the proper one...

ATTENTION: the "Bottom SCREW" is not fitted in our cases by default
It will be fitted ONLY upon a clear request, and a related payment for it. !

FINALLY, Leica introduced his digital M, the long waited M8 !
And, of course, we are already making THREE cases for it...

I make the half case for M8, in the "grip" shape, in TWO models, which prices are the same, Eur 200 without strap:
1- Half case for M8 with a MY "built-in-grip", that can NOT fit the Leica M8 grip
2- Half case for M8 "for" the Leica M8 grip, then the owner NEEDS the Leica grip !

I must warn you that most of those pictures of my cases for Leica M8 are the very
1st made, then made to cases that were almost "prototypes" ! Actual ones, with the
production well running, are A LOT IMPROVED ! (As happens with most my cases...)

Here another sample of a special case, which particular RED stitching may be made
ONLY upon special order at the extra amount of Eur 10, in 10/12 making days...

Here the is pictures I made to a FULL case for Leica M8. Of course, the top/front part is removable by MY sliding "rail" I've designed for all my other, former full cases. Please be aware that the Stainless Steel "Tripod" screw is NOT fitted by default, but only within a special order, ar Eur 50 extra.

A NEW LESS EXPENSIVE CASE FOR M8 !
Dear visitors of this pages, let me introduce (February 2008) my new "Basic"
half cases models for your Leica M8 ! Of course, I prefer and suggest the
"Premium" line ones, but, for whom wants to save, here a very affordable
half case solution, made with the same design of the more costly former one.

Differences between the "Premium" and the "Basic" line cases are:

1- The use of different leathers, less costly, but still of a good quality, NOT poisonus !
2- The Basic cases are NOT hand stitched along the bottom side perimeter, a long job
3- The Basic cases are lined with a less costly inner suede leather, also fine quality
4- The Basic line cases are made and offered with a limited colour choice, for now

future we will, depending on new possible lenses...

placed in the lower rear side. The button is externally covered with the SAME leather !

Here how this model is made: all the front/top/rear/bottom part is fully removable
simply thanks to the four snaps in the rear side ! The transparent rear LCD protection
is now a free optional upon request, but I am not placing it any more as "default" choice...

I MADE two similar but slightly different models of my FULL case for D-Lux 3 - 2 - LX2-1:
both appear the same when closed... (actually, the FULL models are THREE)

...but one is made with a totally removable front/top/rear/bottom part, thanks to two
safe and robust snaps on the bottom (snaps are LINED with the same leather ! :-)

...and the other one is made with the tfront/top and the rear sides, NOT removable,
and when opened them are hanging from the case. With strap, Eur 190

Here, my proposal for an (half) case for your Leica R9-R8 fitted with the DMR !

Of course, I will make upon buyer's request the two proper round cutouts on the
front side, for the possible setting of the existing front controls...

Please, look at the new pictures below (April 2006). Them are showing the DMR case aither in
"Aged Brown", and in black. The black one comes with the command cutouts in rear, and in front sides.

Your Leica R9-R8 fitted with the DMR will have a serious and practical "dress"
that allows to operate all the necessary technical buttons, wheel, and screens.
Please, inspect carefully my pictures of it, and understand how difficult is this case.
You may have it in black, or natural (tan) brown. Other colours upon request. Eur 250
without strap. The optional (identic leather) "deluxe" strap is offered at Eur 50

Upon request of a very good and friendly our customer, (a lady), I made two prototypes of a completely NEW, FULL case for Leica Digilux 2. I am sincerily quite satisfied of the result, then I decided to start his normal production. It is not too large, it is protective, and... In a few days I will have it available even with two delicious, useful "accessory cases": an inner "pocket case" for TWO Secure Digital extra cards (with the one into the camera, them are THREE !), and an extra case for the D2 hood and his cap, that will be easily fitted to the strap, as Leica, Rollei and other manifacturers where offering in the past times ! Prices are: Eur 300 for the complete case, black or brown, Eur 50 for the optional strap, Eur 10 for the cards case. (Price of the hood case, € 50...)

Finally, my (half) case for Leica Digilux 2 and Panasonic Lumix LC1 is ready !
Please, click on thumbnails to enlarge the pictures. The case, made with my usual, best quality leathers, cost € 160, + € 50 for the optional, identic "deluxe" strap. A cutout for LCD can be made upon buyer's request. Also only the ROUND one, smaller that the LCD screen, but still enough for a certain picture's quality control. The following pictures are all made to the last three prototypes of this "difficult" (to be made) case. I prefer and suggest ONLY the right-side cut, allowing to use all the settings (the covered one may be pushed throught the leather, I will add proper engravings). The LCD screen is of course not visible in this case, but remember that in the electronic finder you may BETTER see any picture. However, for whom WANTS to see the LCD screen I can make the rectangular checking cutout, but it is made ONLY upon a specific, clear request, and if requested, I will add FOR FREE a crystal clear transparent, soft special PVC product that, "pushed" on your camera LCD screen, will protect it from any scratches. NOTE that all prices of my cases are in EUR.

NOW, A FULL SIZE LCD SCREEN CUTOUT IS AVAILABLE, but I
don't suggest it. Making it, the upper side leather would remain
quite thin, and the case become LESS protective for the screen.

Look carefully at those pictures, that are showing several different cutout
options, and shapes. Any suggestions (and request) will be accepted ! :-)

However, this is my final case design, and suggestion.
A round or rectangular "LCD" cutout will be made upon request.

surfaces, we carefully lined the inner side with a still soft shining leather !

I tested it, and I can say: it is perfect for (most) Canon Digital batteries!
