*Leica I model B, "rim-set" Compur, with rarest cap and case!*
conditions: ALL original, used, pleasant "patina", # 21553

The most recent calculations on the amount of the Leica B model, the so-called Leica Compur, says that only 638 examples have been made with the "Dial" (delicate) Compur shutter, and 1072 examples with the more
reliable, later "Ring" Compur shutter. The example # 21553 offered in this auction is a well
nicely "used", perfectly original one, and it comes with the rarest CAP and CASE...

...this "veteran" Leica Compur camera # 21553 (made on the year 1929, the batch was # 21489 to # 21602) works
still perfectly, all shutter speeds seem to me reliably proper, and even the aperture leaves are near mint...

...despite the brassy parts, due to a long but careful use, I consider this camera a well keeped one, because
there are no dings or dents, nor deep scratches, the finder (normally very worn) is quite clean,
the black paint is all original, NOT touched-up, and the # silver engravings are nice,
and the careful howner have NEVER lost his original CAP, and CASE !...

...some wear on the bottom plate's black paint, but, again, NO dents...

...seen from the top side, the original black paint is at (nearly) 90%...

...as you may see in this close-up picture, the serial # 21553 is nice, clean, perfectly readable... COMPURwCASE.htm

...some more signs of use in the front side of the Compur shutter, that come with the proper "Greek"
ornamental drawing on the front nikel ring, not well visible in this picture...

...and, unlike on many similar cameras, the rigid focusing knob is THE PROPER one for a Compur Leica.
This rare camera will be loved from the possible buyer, and CAP and CASE make it an exceptional find !
Included, although not pictured, a nice FODIS rangefinder.    P. O. A.
